Youth Mental Health First Aid

LEARN HOW TO RECOGNIZE, UNDERSTAND, AND RESPOND TO SIGNS OF MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE CHALLENGES IN YOUTH.

Join us for free, in-person suicide prevention trainings designed to strengthen our ability to recognize, respond to, and support individuals experiencing a mental health or suicide-related crisis.

Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches adults how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in adolescents (ages 12–18). Participants learn practical skills to recognize warning signs, offer initial support, and connect youth with appropriate professional, peer, social, or self-help resources.

These trainings are open to staff, community members, and partners who are committed to building safer, healthier communities.

safeTALK is a half-day suicide alertness training that equips participants to recognize when someone may be experiencing thoughts of suicide, engage them in a supportive conversation, and connect them with additional help and life-saving resources.
