California Dental Support Center

California Dental Support Center is funded through an Indian Health Service grant to serve 34 health programs (107 Tribes), which operate 54 dental clinics, in the state of California.
Grant Period – September 1, 2006 through August 31, 2010
Our Mission
"Reduce dental decay in infants, toddlers, and children. Provide training, technical assistance, and resources to tribal and urban dental clinics operating in California."

- Clinic based initiatives to prevent caries in infants and toddlers
- Community based initiatives to enhance prevention among preschool Children
- Provide education and training for Dental Professionals in tribal health programs

Washington, DC – The United States’ 564 federally‐recognized tribes claim victory with today’s
historic passage of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The House passed the Senate’s
health care reform bill by a vote of 219 to 212 which includes the reauthorization of the Indian Health
Care Improvement Act (IHCIA), placing in effect health care legislation that American Indians and
